Self Management Programs & Workshops for Pain, Cancer, Diabetes & Chronic Disease

Provides assistance for managing chronic health conditions and sustaining healthy living.
These Self-Management Programs, supported by the University of Victoria, are peer-led patient education programs offered in communities across British Columbia. Self-Management BC provides a menu of self-management programs available to British Columbians virtually, online, by telephone, by mail, and in person.

Programs are for adults of all ages living with one or more ongoing health conditions, and there is no cost to participate. Click on a health condition below to learn more.
Self-Management Programs:
Self-Management Workshops: Program offers free 6-week Self-Management Workshops for Adults with any Ongoing Health Conditions. A schedule of workshops is available by the following regions.

  • Fraser Health North
  • Fraser Health South
  • Interior Health
  • Northern Health
  • Vancouver Coastal Health
  • Island Health
